my current color pallet

so this is my dream color pallet that was inspired by the viceroy hotel in palm springs. White, Silver's, neutral grays and that beautiful yellow lemon color for a touch of excitement.

All my old apartments looked love a hippie love fest, which is great when your 18- 20, cause thats what you kind of want, right? a chill pad that you don't have to worry about when trashed by a party. This time I would like to try something more sophisticated and timeless. IF there even is a next time and if I could actually afford rent at the moment.

the IT laptop bag.

I like clean cut designs that have classic shapes but also a small touch of punk attitude. I was trying to find the brand of this bag, ever since I stepped into Opening Ceremony on La Ciengia in L.A.

I think its the most perfect laptop bag. Its simply beautiful and the zippers give it a little rock n roll edge, which to me is just perfect.

The Ipod holder is pretty bad ass as well.
The bag retails for around 950 and the Ipod holder for 250

GIRLFRIEND get up!

totally destroyed one of my books. Not that I care, but its sad when old books just don't stay together and fall apart so fast.

There is something that really turns me off about new books, but Im about to finish this one, and my next train read is going to be on the road- jack kerouac. I need to find a flea market out here in ny.

Got home today from being in the city and started finishing one of my doodles.

This week in Brooklyn:
saterday GHOSTLAND OBSERVATORY- Celebrate Brooklyn / Prospect Park Bandshell
Sunday- MGMT- at McCarren Park Pool Party

Enjoy the weekend to come.

home sickness and missed connections.

While looking at jobs I got really bored and starting looking at the new york missed connection. I saw this little post, and it was the nicest little post that really made my day a bit brighter.

Here it goes;

One week ago this morning, you were standing on the morning Q train, short black hair severely cut in contrast against your skin, wearing glasses and arching a hellenic neck over some Ayn Rand. I was standing and reading David Markson. My god, think of the uncompromising English that could exist between us.

But I departed at 34th St. and left a trail of unrhymed couplets trudging in my wake. Truth is, never see you again - but know that on a dreary morning train you were the absence of all superfluous material from Parkside to 34th St.

the only reason I have any doubt to believe its about me is because I ride the Q and I'm reading an ayn rand book but I could also be completely wrong.

shakey first week in ny

started of new york in the worst possible way.
I lost my appetite and completely went into my inner zone, which isnever fun,but walking around the city makes me happy.

my current room, it looks like a 5 year olds dorm room. Thank god i brought my own bedding

the Q train, which at the moment is my favorite train, except sometimes it runs funny

You know whats wonderful about being on the train, you can actually read! in l.a you never had time to read.
So I get to actually finish my book. the virtues of selfishness by ayn rand

saw deerhoof at prospect park.
and guess who I saw. chris Kedzie.. so that was great, I totally forgot he moved to ny as well

ego shot down

its funny how in los angeles, I felt I could get anything I wanted. I guess Hollywood gives you an ego boost. New York makes me feel like a pea in a pod. Just another human looking for a job and a way to support him/herself.

some cool jap place/ scion gallery/ ratatat .. saterday fun

tons of fun on Saturday.
started of by stumbling upon a new little Japanese cafe/art galley
Owners private collection was amazing!

Then we hit scion and saw the photo exhibition, which was ok, a lot of work im not impressed by, but thats ok. But the images below I did really like. Anything thats B+W and has rock n roll "especially punk. Thats what always catches my eye.

The we hit the echoplex, silverlake and caught ratatat. I really like their new cd, but I thought the whole one band performing the whole night was kind of a disappointment.

The we drove back home only to stop by the coolest gas station and find out best friend hanging out there!.

As for now.. let me make my own mistakes.

BTW I found them! my lost illustrations that I thought I threw away. They were from the PUlSE show.

pack for me.

so i havnt really packed, no I lie I DONT KNOW HOW to pack.
so I looked up online and I looked up on what a person should get rid.
My conclusion... I'm a rat pack..

the sad thing is.. almost 80% is clothing
and 20% is actual small possessions.
The ratio looks off doesnt it?

tommrow is my attempt to reorganize and pack and.. pack light!
I'm looking to start over.. not start again with the same junk.

music based on my mood.

There are a lot of places providing music now a days, but this one simply amazing. MUSICOVERY is music based on ones mood; calm, upbeat, + -
The bands are a bit repetitive but the music is great and gives you full song's, that then chains off to the next.
